Oregon City Music academy offers Electric Violin Lessons
Oregon City Music academy offers Electric Violin Lessons for kids. We offer classical training as well as the Suzuki Method. The Suzuki method is based on his approach that musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability that can be developed. Any child, who is professionally trained, can develop musical ability, just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. The potential of every child is unlimited.
Electric Violin is the Perfect Instrument to Learn
Like its more traditional cousin, the electric violin is truly a unique and powerful form of musical expression. But the electric violin is even better adapted for performances that revolve around contemporary genres of music, like jazz, rock or electronic. Genres that don’t rely on the classical tone provided by an acoustic violin. Recording is also much easier and versatile with the electric violin; it’s much easier to plug in an electric violin than it is to record an acoustic one. And let’s admit it, today’s youth are more connected to technology and the world of social media than ever before. An electric violin can be an introduction to recording, producing and disseminating music to the world.
What to Expect on your First Lesson
Your instructor will get to know your child. We will talk about goals musical preferences and interests. Then we help them become familiar with their violin. Next, you’ll go over the names of the different parts of the electric violin and the bow and talk about how to care for each. From neck to fingerboard and strings to bridge, you’ll want to get familiar with your new instrument as well as its accouterments.
