Oregon City Music academy offers Guitar Lessons

Oregon City Music academy offers Guitar Lessons for kids. We offer classical training as well as the Suzuki Method. The Suzuki Method is based on his approach that musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability that can be developed. Any child, who is professionally trained, can develop musical ability, just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. The potential of every child is unlimited.

Guitar is the Perfect Instrument to Learn

Do you have the impression that your child sits too much in front of the TV or the computer? Guitar lessons are a great way to change the free-time life of your child. Practicing guitar has been shown to improve hand-eye coordination, develop important motor skills, sharpen concentration, increase memory capacity, and increase self-confidence. It will help your child develop creativity, talent and a passion for something that is worth it. Plus, let’s face it, playing guitar is cool. Beginner guitars are also reasonably priced compared to other instruments as well as being extremely portable.

What to Expect on your First Lesson

Your instructor will get to know your child. We will talk about goals musical preferences and interests.  Then we help them become familiar with their guitar. Next, you’ll go over the names of the different parts of the guitar and talk about how to care for each. From strings to frets and tuning pegs, you’ll want to get familiar with your new instrument.
