Oregon City Music academy offers Piano Lessons
Oregon City Music academy offers Piano Lessons for kids. We offer classical training as well as the Suzuki Method. The Suzuki method is based on his approach that musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability that can be developed. Any child, who is professionally trained, can develop musical ability, just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. The potential of every child is unlimited.
Piano is the Perfect Instrument to Learn
Piano lessons provide excellent training for your child’s brain. The lessons and practice sessions support memory development, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills. Sitting and working one-to-one with a piano tutor can help to improve communication skills and increase the maturity of your child. In addition, learning to play piano may also help with school performance. Studies have shown that learning a musical instrument exercises the same part of the brain as that used for certain math problems. This means that musical training may also boost classroom performance in math and other spatial awareness and logical reasoning tasks, such as those involved in engineering.
What to Expect on your First Lesson
Your instructor will get to know your child. We will talk about goals musical preferences and interests. Then we help them become familiar with their piano. You’ll go over the names of the different parts of the piano and talk about how to care for each. From keyboard to hammers and strings, you’ll become familiar with your new instrument.
