Children’s Music Lessons Can Begin As Early As Ages 3 to 5
Sometimes Oregon City parents are surprised to learn how early children’s music lessons can begin. Depending on which instrument your child is interested in, however, music lessons can begin as early as ages 3 to 5 years old.
The Suzuki Method
The Suzuki Method is one method we use to teach children’s music lessons. In particular, this method is used for our violin lessons, viola lessons, and cello lessons. This method emphasizes that musical ability isn’t an inborn, innate talent. It is something that can be developed in anyone – any child – who is professionally trained. These types of lessons can begin for children at the age of 3.
Classical Training
For other types of musical lessons, our team relies on what is commonly known as Classical Training. Classical Training can be used for lessons such as piano lessons, guitar lessons, ukulele lessons, and more. These lessons can begin at the age of 5 years old.
