Has Your Child Shown An Interest In Learning An Instrument?
Music is a great tool to help children develop – especially if they’ve expressed interest in learning how to play music. Does your child have a keen interest in music? Are you interested in nurturing that interest? If so, consider music lessons through Oregon City Music Academy. Our staff is dedicated to helping children develop their musical abilities in the Oregon City and surrounding areas like, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Happy Valley, Canby, Colton, Molalla and more.
What Age Should My Child Start Their Music Lessons?
Children can begin learning an instrument earlier than you might expect. Here at Oregon City Music Academy, children can begin the violin, viola and cello with the Suzuki Method at the age of 3 and up. We offer music lessons many other instruments, like piano, ukulele, guitar, and drums at the age of 5 and up.
What Instrument Should My Child Learn?
Oregon City parents often wonder which instrument their child should start their musical education with. The truth is that children can learn any instrument they have a passion for. Here at Oregon City Music Academy, we like the Suzuki Method approach for violin, viola and cello, because it is a method that emphasizes that anyone can develop the ability to play a musical instrument. Musical ability is not an inborn talent – it is something that can be learned. As your child develops their musical ability, their passion for a particular instrument can carry them far.
